First Clemmons picks WKU over SMU. But he was already committed to WKU anyway. Now possibly for the first in Husker history they lose a 4 star QB to a Sun Belt conference school. It was none other than WKU. Husker fans are almost in a state of disbelief if you read any of their boards. So Huskerpony please say something to let us know you are okay.

I heard that the 4 star was dropped by USF just last week because he wasn't going to qualify

I red where Holtz got another QB recently that fit his system better and pulled his scholarship. 4 star QB's high school was very upset with Holtz about it even though Holtz never recruited the young man. Hmmm Sounds familiar.

Ha. Yeah. I'm fine. This guy is Tommie Frazier's cousin too!

Anyway, he says that this is untrue now:

Not sure what to make of all this. When we heard South Florida pulled their offer, everyone assumed it was because he was coming here. In the meantime, Nebraska offered a greyshirt to a local QB and got an early commitment from a kid from Arlington for the 2011 class. Add to that the two QB's in last years class, I wouldn't blame him for thinking his chances of playing might not be great. He was kind of a stop gap offer anyway after the second Gabbert brother in three years de-committed and switched to Mizzou. He does have some connection to the WKU coaches, although I don't recall what it is. Ironically, WKU is Nebraska's first game next season.

Personally, I'm more interested in what will happen with the DE from Portland--although the QB position was definitely an issue this year.

What is really funny is that one poster on the WKU site said that they had recently made some upgrades to their facilities and that may have helped in his liking WKU. Then a Husker poster came on their board and posted mutiple pictures of the Nebraska facilities as if to say that the WKU upgrades weren't nothing compared to the Nebraska facilities.
