In the meantime, Nebraska offered a greyshirt to a local QB and got an early commitment from a kid from Arlington for the 2011 class. Add to that the two QB's in last years class, I wouldn't blame him for thinking his chances of playing might not be great. He was kind of a stop gap offer anyway after the second Gabbert brother in three years de-committed and switched to Mizzou. He does have some connection to the WKU coaches, although I don't recall what it is. Ironically, WKU is Nebraska's first game next season.
Personally, I'm more interested in what will happen with the DE from Portland--although the QB position was definitely an issue this year.
