Accuracy of Priority Points ??I think we all knew prices were going to go up, and as someone who has been in Section 105 with 4 season tickets since Ford opened, this will effect me but my bigger issue is will the Priority Points they are going to use be accurate for all of us that have donated and bought tickets for quite some time (for me since 1990).
In the past, I was on the Mustang Club donation rolls in 2 places and they had 2 different listings for me for my dontations. I thought that was fixed until they called me for money for the Crum Center and I wrote that check and it was still posted wrong. For some reason I still was on their list in 2 places as it was never corrected and they didn't post my Crum donation to the account where I bought my season tickets. Then last year for some reason they only had me at $150 Mustang Club donation instead of much higher amount I ususally give and I had to call Debbie to try and get it straightened out. Evenutally I was told it was fixed, but in looking at my tax receipts recently I was reminded of the posting error. I am still not convinced my account is correct. If the powers to be want to make this change fine, but I think they need to invest in the man power to make sure the Priority Points they will use are accurate for all donors, especially those that have been loyal with the program for quite some time.
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??I was thinking the same thing, I have paid different ways and different amounts to different people over the years, I hope they have been keeping really detailed records.
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??That's my hope also. I one time my name or some version of it was in their system 3 places, then when I sent check for Crum Center found out still problems.
Not upset with those that work there as I think they do much with little support. Real concern is in the past I bet detailed records were not kept and some of us that have been sending money since early 1990s and travelled from Ownby to Cotton Bowl and back to Ford should get some credit for sticking with it this long. Can't image there are too many of us that have been with that long.
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??A few years ago the Mustang Club had me as deceased.
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??
You still look good.......
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??And it is not just the Mustang Club's records, but the lifetime giving to SMU. Since my giving goes back to the 1960's it will be very interesting to see what they have down for me.
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??if i remember correctly that explanation for the Priority Points stated that contribution records will be from 1991 forward and that there will be a procedure for correcting mistakes in their records
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??I got my points and ranking today. I have no idea if it is accurate or not. I assume that unless you are trying to upgrade seats or parking or get new seats or parking, it will not be something you should worry about. I guess if we ever have the opportunity to go to a BSC bowl it might make a difference as to tickets. In any event, I am going to just treat it as an initial benchmark and track the points forward.
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??If I'm "ranked" in the 1200's..we NEED more fans...
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??Man, I thought I was top 25 in everything I do.
What number Four hundred something. I better get on the stick and find some more money. Aside: we all make fun of things, get upset at other things but one thing you can not do is cry about SMU performance, We did go to a bowl game. Did have a good football recruiting class and the W-bb team is doing pretty good. With a few years of football revenue all the other sports will reap the rewards of a fuller bank account. The price of playing SMU poker is going up. PLEASE get rid of the Pony Up slogan. It reminds me of a sleezy street thug. Pony up your protection money or you might have a fire here someday. How about "Participate with Pride" I own that you know. Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??I have around 80 points which ranks at just under 2900. Wonder how many total members are in the Mustang Club?
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??I was 1029 and haven't bought any season tickets since I last lived in Dallas in 1986. Then again, I think there are only a little over 3000 total members, right?
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??
Since I'm 5,731, let's hope there are at least 6,000! ![]()
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??1800's for me, no clue if my points are right or not
Re: Accuracy of Priority Points ??
The year before last they started adding $30 to the cost for each season ticket. The $30 for each ticket made you a Mustang Club member...whether you wanted to be or not. So there are now a lot more "members". Most of the season ticket holder "members" I called last year on the fund drive were not interested in increasing their contribution. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
