Yep, the La Tech aerial circus awaits us next, and McCown will bombard our secondary. Passing attacks have hurt us bad this year, and can run up big scores against an offenseless team like ours. I don't even want to think about the point spread on this one. Well, at least my little community will get some satisfaction out of a hometown boy making good. I just wish it were against someone else.

Cox, LSU should be playing Oklahoma for the national championship at the end of this year. Rest assured that Louisiana Tech will be ready for SMU.
Did you notice that LA Tech's sophomore runningback ran 16 times for 124 yards against the nation's #2 ranked rushing defense? LSU was holding opponents to just 52 yards rushing/game until LA Tech. No RB, other than LA Tech's, has rushed for 100 yards vs LSU this year.
See ya in Ruston.

Alex, LA Tech is averaging 26,755 fans for the season. That is inflated with the ~42K fans in Shreveport when Tech hosted Miami-FL.
In Ruston we're averaging ~19K fans.
See ya Saturday. Hope ya'll will stop by to tailgate with the BB&Bers prior to kickoff.

LSU played a very weak non-conference schedule that included La-Monroe, La Tech, Arizona and Western Illinois (actually a pretty good I-AA program, but I-AA nevertheless). That will prevent them from playing in any championship game ahead of many others who might finish with only one loss.

Yeah that is the only thing holding them back...but they are throttling the Auburn's and South Carolina's and beat Georgia...

We haven't had much success keeping it close with the pass happy quarterbacks. I, too, fear McClown will throw all over us.

Maybe, maybe not. We held Fresno's to NFL-future receivers to one catch. Combined. This defense isn't getting near the attention it deserves, and Jim Gush deserves a hell of a lot of credit for the way the secondary played Saturday.
