what to do? a suggestion.

Heres about all that can be done in my opinion, but it would be significant. Bennett is going nowhere. But what he needs to do is let both the offensive and defensive coordinators find new jobs after the season. Then, Bennett needs to take over the defense officially. With the money we save by not having a dedicated defensive coordinator, Bennett needs to hire a strong offensive coordinator and turn over the offensive reigns. Maybe the guy is an Earnie Zampese dorky type who is not head coaching material, therefore Bennett would not feel threatened if he was successful. This is what has to happen.

When asked recently if Edmumdson was capable of put together an effective wide open offense, Bennett replied "Hell yes he was." As I said in one of my other post, I don't think our team has the ability right now to effectively play a passing oriented offense and that is why we aren't seeing one.

If there's one player who would be justified in throwing in the towel on the season, it's Chris Cunningham. Coming off that awful injury, and having few balls thrown his way, he easily could say the foot still bothers him, and he's done. Instead, he came out yesterday and made a couple of great plays. Admit it, when you saw him go 60 yards down the side - how many of us thought he had that speed still in him?
Way to go, Comet. We need more like you. You're a great Mustang.

PK, like I said I agree with you. The situation cannot be blamed solely on Edmundson or anyone else. Even so, a situation like this usually calls for a change. Sometimes its unfair and its always unfortunate.
