Sick and tired of fans whining about BCS

College football has not changed that much! The big schools with big draws get big bowls. Get over it. Just think. In '82 with the BCS we would have won the National Title. If the old system is so much better then what gives?

Under the current system, would we have even played Penn State in the title game that year? Not sure what effect a late tie against Arkansas would have had...and of course Penn State lost a game that year. I think we were the only unbeaten team, weren't we?

Oh, and Georgia was undefeated until they lost to Penn State in their bowl game, so a BCS title game probably would have put us against them, provided the tie didn't knock us out of the top 2. Of course, we might not have gone for the tie if that was in question. :devil:

Of course we would have had to been ranked in the top 2 first, which we weren't at the time. Depends on what the computers would have said, I suppose.

Given how pathetic our program currently is, SMU fans should be concerned about other problems besides not being in the BCS.

While I think the BCS is unbeliebably flawed...Pony Snob brings up a great point. How about we stop worry about whats wrong with something that has nothing to do with us right now, the BCS...We would have to be undefeated even to think about being the BCS and last time I checked, we are in the pollar opposite of being undefeated...
