Sneak past Tech and things get really interesting with 3 home games in a row...can't wait!

I like this SO much better than opening with Tech-TCU in weeks 1 and 2.

Looks like Houston for Homecoming. That should be a big crowd at Ford.

9 - 3

Losses to TT, TCU and one hiccup along the way.

I hope our improvement continues. A challenging season, no doubt.

1) No bye week
2) TCU and Tech the first 4 weeks
3) The last half of the schedule...after no bye week, when there will be injuries and dings and bumps and bruises and some of our guys are at 60, 70%, we have 4 of 5 games vs Houston, UTEP, Marshall, ECU.

We must stay healthy.

Agree and disagree.....While I would love to beat TCU, I would think our goal is to win CUSA and UAB is in CUSA.

I don't follow your thinking. I would hate for the team to start out 0-2 (which there is a good chance) and have to spend the entire season digging out of that hole. That's [deleted] the guys psyche to have to do that. I'd much rather see a win under our belts before playing TCU.

Really interesting schedule. If you are trying to win the conference, it is a great schedule because the tough games are at home. But, if you are trying to win enough games to make a bowl, it is difficult because easy games are on the road :).

Objectively, you would mark the games as such:

Losses: @Tech, TCU, @Navy, @ECU
Wins: UAB, Wash St, @Tulane, Marshall

To finish .500 and go to a bowl, you have to win at Rice and beat one of Houston, Tulsa, or UTEP.
In order to win the conference, you have to win 3 of those 4.

I am thinking this is a 6-6/7-5 season.

Hence the agree and disagree.....Either way we could start out 0-2 (yes TCU is A TON better than UAB, but we barely beat them last year, 35-33). Point being, it is going to be a short week no matter who we are playing. While I wish we could have a full weak to prepare for UAB, I think we can still beat them at home, and I'd rather beat TCU over UAB even if it is in conf.
