also on the Frog Forum are thumnail pictures of architect renderings of the proposed renovations of Amon Carter. 2 stage construction-they keep talking about an imminent commencement of construction but funding apparently isn't yet completely in place
http://www.killerfrogs.com/msgboard/ind ... pic=113102 btw the east side renovations at Texas Tech will also be finished for the SMU/Tech game

Thanks for taking the bowl game for us. It's really not a bad bowl game all things considered. Has had some nice matchups for the most part. As far as renovations go groundbreaking on the west side is supposed to begin Jan. 1st. At least thats the rumor I've heard.

Nice, yes. "Taj Mahal..." no way. You haven't been to too many other college football stadiums, have you?

I know this is just idle thinking, but does anyone know if Ford can be expanded any larger than just adding seats in the south end zone curve. Is it possible to add an upper deck to either the west or east side?

I thought the playing surface is below street level because UP said it had to be to prevent it from exceeding height restrictions?

We can extend the east side stands to the height that the west side press box is at.

which would mean when the south endzone becomes enclosed, those stands could be the same height

Possibly. Mockingbird might affect that some. I'm sure there are setback laws that we'll have to be aware of.

When Ford was built, I thought I had saw an article that stated it could be expanded to 45,000 capacity if needed.
