Nice article about Taylor Reed, his impact last year and what he plans to accomplish in the future.

There's a note at the end about Aaron Davis possibly starting at nose tackle:

Mason said Aaron "Spike" Davis (6-3, 255) has emerged as the likely starter at nose tackle. "He's undersized ... but his motor never stops," Mason said. "He's going to get banged around in there, and all of a sudden he comes squirting out and makes plays."

That's a little generous. I interviewed him Thursday, and after a brief debate about his weight, we went into the weight room. He weighed 246 in street clothes.

I understand he has an outstanding motor, but motor or not, 250 is a really light anchor in a 3-4. however, after the performance Mason's defense put together in the Hawaii bowl, I have faith in his football mind.

Plus, he's a growing young man — eat and lift everything in sight this summer, and he might get up to 260 or so ... still too small, but better.
