It wasn't a question of if, but when would SMU coach June Jones begin working his magic in Dallas.
Entering his third season, the $2 million dollar-a-year coach appears to have the Mustangs in position to challenge for the West Division title. He took them to a bowl last season — the team's first postseason appearance in 25 years — and has a stable of young, emerging talent. . . .
