I went with my oldest son last month to the Montreal tryouts held at TCU indoor facility. I looked up and I saw Justin Willis and it was good to see him throwing that ball with such velocity and accuracy. I had been thinking about him and wanting to tell him my condolences for his dad. And I also wanted to talk to him about not giving up when things get tough. I didn't know him very well I just am a mother who cares and have kids and would want to share some knowledge. I told him “I wished I had seen him before he walked away from the team”, he worked so hard of being apart of rebuilding. He said that he wished he had gotten that talk from me. If only someone would have told him to stay until he could shake all the grief of what had happen to him one thing after another. He had a great smile and a great attitude toward life, I told him I wished him well and I was glad he hadn't given up on his dream of playing football.

I had class with Justin this past year, such a great kid. I watched him play intramurals and he can really air the ball still. I'm so pumped for him.

J-Will was part of the rebuilding process at SMU. Bummer he did not stick it out but he was young and I'm glad there was not a message board judging my choices when I was his age. I wish him well I hope he finds happiness and success in whatever he does. He can use some good news.
