After reading this [deleted] I wonder how much is really going to change in this realignment. :)

SEC doesn’t add any teams because it would mean less money per current team.
Big-10 takes mizzou and Nebraska. Maybe Big-12 stays at 10 teams. Maybe Pac-10 stays put.

I actually like the Pac 10-14 or whatever it is called formula. The East/West format is not a bad ideal but I would think the Arizona schools might not take to kindly to it, but they might who knows. The next few months, years should be interesting.

Between bleacher report and the stunningly dumb theories and statements of some of the people talking about conference expansion, CE threads on ponyfans have become almost unreadable.

I think the problem is that a large segment of people on PF are not sports fans or college football fans, they are SMU fans. Nothing wrong with that, except that people are making the most ignorant, illogical statements and don't even realize it. 20 years of our administration and alumni not caring to compete in football have left our fans in fantasy land.

Its remarkable that neither Oklahoma, one of the best football progarms nor Kansas, one of the best basketball schools have any options. Where will they land? Pac 10? No chance! Big 10, nope! Some may argue that OU can go to the SEC, but why would they want OU? Bad market. Week academics. I see the SEC wanting Texas, A&M, Florida State, Miami, Clemson, Georgia Tech, and about 5 other schools from the ACC or Big East before OU gets a sniff. Its funny to say, but SMU & TCU are more upwardly mobile than OU or Kansas. Conferences are shooting themselves in the foot by promoting poor performing colleges that happen to be in attractive markets. Are you getting pumped for the Indiana versus Rutgers Big 10 matchup yet?

Yeah, OU doesn't have a big TV market but it's completely untapped by the SEC (unlike FSU or GT)they bring a nationally recognized product, excellent overall athletic program (academics don't matter to the SEC) and, yeah, I would get excited about the OU/UF game - or at least I'd watch it on TV.

Ain't just our school. Plenty of schools with solid performances with crazies in the wordwork.

OU doesn't have a thing to worry about. They will do just fine.

I won't cry for OU they started this whole mess when they sued the NCAA to get control of their TV rights.

Try something like 1976 when it was filed by Georgia and Oklahoma. I think the Supreme Court decision was in 1979 or 80. Remember SMU in fact was the receipient of the initial TBS network game which was hastily thrown together as a result. SMU blew Tulane out something like 51-9.
