It would be hard to argue with the wisdom of the moves made by your admins to date. However, this move, Stallion notwithstanding, looks bad - if they do make it. I have to believe SMU will grow. Tulsa looks like it's on the rise. RICE is RICE. And Marshall doesn't hurt. I would hope TCU would stay put and see what happens in the courts, congress and as the BCS deal gets redone. AND, I would hope to keep NORMALFROG, ReedFrog et al, around periodically.

All of us SMU fans wish that our administration would become as committed to competing at the highest level of Division I like the TCU admninistration has. We can only hope to compete with you guys in the future.

Maybe it's just me but I have been looking forward to this new regional league. I assumed that the Texas privates with Tulsa and Tulane were perfectly suited to stick together. College sports in general and football in particular has become an unpredictable entity driven by nothing but money. I mean it is so unpredictable that one cannot tell what the admin. of their alma matter will do much less someone elses.
I know that it does not occur to most Frog fans but I can clearly see that we are not UT or A$M or OU. And, you know what? I am real happy about it! Why shouldn't we be? Who says we can't be successful and share the $ and still be who we are? That's why the founding fathers gave us a court system.
