Best Quote from JJ in that article:

Q:Talk about the cross-town rivalry SMU has with TCU. While your team is on the rise, TCU has finished the last two seasons ranked in the top 10. Do you view that game as a priority? Do you use it as a barometer for your program?

A: We certainly copied their formula for success. They’re winning for a reason, just like SMU was losing for a reason, from an administrative level and an athletic department level to a football level. I have great respect for what Gary [Patterson]’s done, and they made some decisions six or eight years ago that they were going to be a successful program. Everybody is working together to get that done. That’s why they are where they are, and that’s where we’d like to be.

I like this quote:

To become a successful program, you’ve got to win consistently, so we have to win. That’s what we’re here to do

That may have been the best interview I've read or seen since JJ arrived. Some generic questions, but overall some very fresh thoughts and questions. He also seemed to have done his research on SMU and JJ, how novel.

I don't know who Brian Smith is (speaking of generic), but congrats to you sir.

so JJ copied TCU's formula for success something I advocated for decades but get accused of being a Frog lover because I point out they were and are the Model. If some of you would pull your head out of your asses before JJ clears things up for you then these things might not come as such a shock to you.

I wonder if I can add this as a second signature line to my posts-Maybe a little long and I like the original signature too much-but its too bad we had to wait 20 years for some of you to graduate from "Winning College Football 101"

the one thing SMU is doing differently is [deleted] with a great mascot while TCU with perhaps the stupiest mascot ever knows it doesn't really matter.

I am confident that now that SMU has sent SMU cheerleaders to Hawaii, the level of talent will improve.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

This is the real issue we should all be worried about. With all of our TV games this year, the University should strive to put their best face forward. No more ugly, overweight, knee/shin/elbow/hand brace wearing cheerleaders!
