The DC didn't give him much to work with, but that really does read like he didn't want to be there.

Daily Campus: Does our offense continue to practice a run-and-shoot offense or do we practice a spread offense?
June: we are a passing offense.

Quite possibly the worst Q & A of all time

He absolutely toyed with that reporter. It's not like he was getting peppered like Pete Rose did by Jim Gray. He had to have been rolling his eyes the whole time. I mean a college girl named Amber interviewing a seasoned pro and collegiate HC? He may as well have gone to Hyer elementary school and fielded questions from 4th graders.

I guess June is more diplomatic. When I read the question I fully expected the answer to be more like this:
Daily Campus: Does our offense continue to practice a run-and-shoot offense or do we practice a spread offense?
June: Have you ever even seen a football game?

she had prewritten her questions that anyone could have come up with if interviewing JJ after a google search.
good interviews respond to answers with follow up questions, not "moving on".
boom goes the dynamite.

Jones seemed to handle questions(inane or pertinent) with grace...coming from a student reporter learning her craft in a dying industry. It would not profit him or anyone else to have squashed her or ridiculed her lack of knowledge ( heck, at least she correctly identified the run and shoot as our current offense) or lack of attendance at a football game. Jones is not a Leach-type character that thrives on banter and quips proving he is the 'smartest man in the room'. Seems he realizes that media-types are an means to an end, and are tolerated more than sought out.
That said, is there any more irrelevant, posing entity on campus than the DC ?
