Considering he is the signature sports columnist in Austin, Kirk Bohls always seems oddly out of touch and out of step with what is really going on in the UT athletic department. This is the guy who truly believes Arkansas would consider giving up its lucrative SEC ties so it could jointhe Big 12 and have the honor of playing UT every year.

Who knows if he is right about this? UT is pretty happy with its current situation (considering DeLoss Dodds set up the financial arrangements in the Big 12) but it will play the conferences against one another to get the most money. I am not sure the PAC 10 is willing to buy into UT's demands which will undoubtedly be designed to put them at a financial advantage over everyone else.
