if nd goes to big 10, then big 12 stays alive, sec doesn't expand and big east doesn't implode - pac ten takes 2 schools and we hope to be part of an expanded, improved mwc - could be worse

The Chip Brown story on the MWC board makes sense with one exception -- Arkansas and TN as possible candidates to backfill the Colorado slot. Arkansas has some history with Big 12 South from SWC, so I guess that a possibility. But Tennessee would never leave the SEC. Aside from the money and the traditional conference rivalries, TN is SEC Country and the fan base would riot.The university officials involved would have to go in witness protection.

I never really thought the Big 12 South would go to the PAC-10, it was just a threat. Hopefully ND will accept the Big 10 offer and that will be pretty much that.

Then the only conference that has to worry is the MWC. I really doubt the PAC 10 would want to add Colorado, but if they do, I am sure that the Big 12 would look at that as doing them a favor.
