This post is largely my opinion, so my apologies if you don't find it educational reading material. I have also been bad about keeping up with posts on the board recently, so if any of this has been stated, my apologies again.
About a month ago a friend and fellow Mustang fan attended a breakfast that June spoke at. During the course of his talk he covered a wide variety of topics including conference realignment. At the time, it was widely speculated that conference realignment would occur, but maybe on a small scale and it would definitely take a while to play out. That morning June dropped the bomb shell that conference realignment would occur, it would be major and most importantly it would be fast, as in beginning of June fast. He also strongly hinted that SMU was in a good place to make a change and that he felt our fate would be known sometime around July. While all of these comments can be described as vague, it appears that for the most part they have been true and as such, I have complete confidence that the atheltic department at SMU has stayed well informed of the ongoing changes and will have us in a good place to make a jump up once schools start to shift.
June has taken us further than any coach since the death penalty and I have confidence that between him and Orsini we have even brighter things to come in the next month.
On a side note, i can't believe we are less than 12 weeks from college football! Go Mustangs!
