Chip Brown. NU to B10Chip Brown just declared that the "Big XII is dead"
Nebraska to Big 10 Colorado and Big South minus Baylor to Pac 10. ......... A source close to the Nebraska Board of Regents told Orangebloods.com Wednesday Nebraska regents have informally agreed to leave for the Big Ten and will make a formal announcement on Friday. Several sources in the Big 12 South have said if Nebraska leaves, the Big 12 is dead. The league has until June 14 to decide if it's staying together. ... Texas and Texas A&M will meet Thursday. ... Possible schools to add to the Big 12 have been identified. ... Baylor may be facing resistance from the Pac-10. ... And a government warning. ... It's the latest bombshell in possible realignment from the source that broke the story - Orangebloods.com. [details] Last edited by SMU89 on Wed Jun 09, 2010 3:11 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10Report just released says that CU failed its APR academic requirements for football and basketball and will lose scholarships. This could kill their move west.
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10And isn't it funny that all the bombshells are coming from SMU's very own Chip Brown?
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10I want him to drop a bombshell that we are moving up
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10
or that Kate wants a date with you?
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10I picked a good week to spend time in Lincoln. I'll have a live update Friday from The Cornhusker Hotel (no kidding..that's the name of the place)
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10
If we move up she will have to date me. I will be big time.
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10It is a free story on the website, BTW.
If Missouri is looking less attractive to the Big 10, I wonder if the 5 remaining teams try to add 3-4 more or try to find their way elsewhere. Probably the latter, but that may not be the best call. If they could somehow hold onto a 6th team, then I think they would have to try and stay together. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10i could see a scenario where Tech gets left out. The dynamic changes if Nebraska to the Big 10 is the first move. In that case, Texas loses the first mover advantage and therefore the ability to necessarily dictate who joins it in the PAC East. I could see the Pac 10 wanting to limit the voting power of the Texas/eastern block and taking a Utah instead of Tech. And does anyone really think the Pac wants both OSU and Tech? Poor locations, below desirable academics. Don't see it. Will be interesting who has the leverage AND who uses it to help whom.
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10Tech being left out will make my day
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10Cal doesn't want Baylor because of its religious ties?
Wow. I guess it really is the post-Christian era.
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10Berkley is post Christian.
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10
Can you imagine if SMU was seriously in the discussions? The Bush library would be a deal killer. Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10
You are one week off and going to the wrong town. College World Series starts next weekend. Last one in the old stadium before it moves downtown.
Re: Chip Brown. NU to B10Love CWS in Omaha, some of the best times I have ever had...
