actually we don't outrecruit any Big 12 teams or TCU anyway. And that includes June Jones. It may bring Baylor back to our level which could be significant especially in BB

It affects teams like Mizzou who have over 30% of their team from Texas. It really affects a lot of the ex-big 12 north teams ability to get players from the state.

of course we will have to see what happens with the rest of the leftovers, as this thing is not done yet.

Yeah its also positive in that respect. Hasn't anybody noticed that those SEC schools are in Texas' backyard while those PAC 10 schools are thousands and thousands of miles away. Texas, A&M, OSU, Tech and OU will dominate Texas even more as long as the Aggies don't screw this up by going to the SEC. At the top of the reasons for Texas not going to the SEC is to keep Texas players from having the option to leave the state, play in the SEC and still play in Texas.

I find it amusing that Mizzou through all of this thinks they can leave the Big XII and still recruit Texas.

Arkansas has said it is poised to take over Missouri recruiting if they go to the Big 10.

Woe is me. With our expanding population and great high schools in Texas yet universities still limited with the 25/85 scholarship limits....why shouldn't we get our fair share of these players and out-coach em? They can't all go to UT, A&M and TT. Does Boise State go to BCS bowls and have a preseason ranking in the Top 5 because of their strong recruiting classes? Do recruits prefer a destination of Boise, Idaho compared to Dallas, TX?

For the same reason SMU hasn't beaten a Texas BCS team since the Death Penalty
