Still don't understand why some people on this board think minimal swapping will occur (only two schools to Pac 10 or Big 10). Massive shifts are taking place right now.

If those Big 12 leftovers somehow were able to start anew, would they want us? Probably not. When BE takes Memphis and or ECU/UCF, what does CUSA do? Probably take sunbelt schools.

Just don't see us getting an offer.

if SMU goes anywhere it'll be the SEC. The SEC is tough enough as it is...think they want to add more teams with top 15 recruiting classes? Plus gives them the Dallas tv market. TCU's already hitched its wagon to the MWC juggernaut.

I tend to agree with this assessment. I also think the schools on the outside of this have an opportunity to ruin those plans if they stick together.. something that I doubt they will do.

The evening news reported that the UT president and DeLoss gathered the UT coaches together to tell them "they did all they could to keep the Big XII together." That is such bull [deleted]. All they have to do is backfill with one school and the Big XII is still alive. Obviously that is not really what they want. Ultimately the greed of UT will poison whichever conference they wind up in...IMHO.

What would be fun to see would be the Big 12 backfill with a team from the Big 10.
