We don't know how spoiled we are

Postby RGV Pony » Wed Jun 09, 2010 9:06 pm

Note: this thread is NOT realignment related.

On both The Ticket and 103.3 today, more than a few hosts were wetting themselves over something the Cowboys did recently to give the media "unprecedented" insight into x's and o's. Evidently Jason Garrett and a few other coaches invited any of the media who was interested to come see film, break down plays, and see ins and outs to exactly how things were run. Ooo's and ahh's were given.

We get this privilege every...single...week during the football season. And maybe I'm biased, but I'd rather see JJ break stuff down than Jason Garrett. Maybe SMU should publicize the Monday luncheons because-rah rah Mustang Club sessions that they are-wowing the media is apparently easily accomplished by such things.

Rah, rah aside, as a football fan it really is incredible to have Coach Jones breakdown the film. I love the game and consider myself quite knowledgeable, but seeing the game broken down opens your eyes to how intricate the game (and our offense) really is.

It's cool beans. If you haven't been I recommend it.
