regardless of what happens to us, I am so glad that Baylor is getting the shaft with no Ann Richards to save the day.

this stood out in the article, uttered by from the sounds of it Mack Brown:
The coach said it's possible the Pac-16 would push for two automatic bids to the BCS, one for each division champion.

From Chip Brown's twitter in the past hour:
It appears Big Ten may be prepared to expand by only 3, possibly holding open a spot for Notre Dame and one other school down the road.
Don't know who the other 2 schools would be outside of Nebraska to go to B10, but right now it doesn't appear to include Missouri.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is probably very good news for us if we hope to end up in the 'new' Big 12. We need Missouri to stick around.

Iowa State
Kansas
KSU
Mizzou
Baylor
It looks good, but if, for example, SMU, Houston, TCU, Utah, BYU, Colorado, and Boise St. went to the remnants of the Big XII, we'd still lose the AQ status since there wouldn't be 6 teams that have played together for 5 years.

In my opinion Kansas, KState, Missouri. Iowa St and Baylor have strong interest in access to Texas because a substantial percentage of their players are from Texas

Right, but wouldn't we be better served by Mizzou bolting for the B10? They still need nine votes to dissolve the B12 and they won't get that, and Mizzou leaving opens up another spot in the "new" Big 12.

No I think its more important that the Big 12 Leftovers have leverage when the cards are dealt with the MWC.

MWC guys folding into the big 12 makes too much sense not to happen. Easy way to dump the bottom end. I don't see why they wouldn't want to do it,

Yeah I'm not saying that I like our chances in a new Big 12 but I like them more than trying to squeeze into the last MWC 9 spots with 5 Big 12 Leftovers and Boise, Nevada and Fresno out there.
