And we continue to build the program up ala TCU over the past decade. More money, better attendance, higher visibility, etc. Would we maybe be a player for a better conference sometime down the road say in maybe 5-10 years? Or are we about to miss the boat on any sort of realignment talk?

I see two things happening-
1. SMU get picked up by either-SEC/PAC 10/ or a scrambling Big 12 (let Texas/TAMU/TECH/Baylor add back in SMU and TCU since we were in a power conference already SWC and got dropped. (Who will argue with that)

2. CUSA gets a whole lot better

Things are being shaken up and we are in a good position to take advantage. If you don't believe we are working on improving our situation, you are an ostrich.

Wow what are you smokin out there in Cali?.....SMU to the SEC? C'mon be real...yes the powers that be are hard at work but we are not running the show and will be lucky to beter our position.
But we will be hard pressed to be in a Power Conference any time soon.
