My Prediction for SMU

SMU stays in C-USA. Does adding SMU to the MWC increase its chances of getting BCS status? No. Does TCU want us in the same conference as them? No. Does adding SMU to the Big 12 to replace the teams that left help the Big 12 get more money for its television contract? No. SMU sealed its fate as an non-player in major college athletics when it decided to implement anti-competitive policies after the death penalty. This is not a criticism but reality. It is what it is. SMU can still field winnings teams and have success in C-USA. Last year was an absolute blast so I would take another season similar to it any day. I just don't see SMU getting into a BCS conference or the MWC any time soon. SMU will stay put and Orsini will release a statement telling everyone the goal is top 25 in all we do....blah, blah, blah.

I will be the opptimist and say re-vamped big 12...
Baylor, Kansas, kstate, mizzu, iowa st, SMU, Houston, Memphis, Tulsa, Southern Miss?

Our hope is not getting an invite from MWC. It is UT and aTm staying in big 12, raiding non-texas teams from MWC, MWC is gone.
