I loved one suggestion: Texas ought to play Texas Tech on Thanksgiving instead of the Aggies. This is a big deal for Tech and pretty much assures I would think that Tech is the choice to become the next flagship school in Texas which the Texas Legislature has been considering.

Most likely. But who will be the 2nd team to join them, assuming SEC is not going to 13 members?

If I were a betting man, I would put my money on Oklahoma.

But the OU AD is on the record saying essentially that OU will go wherever UT goes.

True. But a lot of people have said a lot of things. No inside info, just a feeling.
Logic would say if not OU, the most likely candidates would be Florida St or Virginia Tech. Wasn't there a report yesterday that A&M and Va Tech had unconditional offers to the SEC?

Hadn't seen that. VT won't go anywhere without UVA I don't think. Casteen (UVA prez) bent over backwards to get VT in the ACC instead of Syracuse back in 2003.

i read somewhere that VT had turned down an offer from SEC. Of course everyone is denying it (on both sides).

I really doubt it's gotten that far. I think VT would jump to the SEC in a heartbeat if they were attached at the hip with UVA in the ACC

A&M will be a doormat in SEC IMHO.

Why? VT can win the ACC. No way they can win the SEC.
