...or maybe not.

From the linked blog...

I've just realized something about my new alignment--The Super West really sucks as a football league. That will lead to a lot of dissension. People will be outraged that they get a Final Four bid. Of course, their TV deal will be nowhere near the other three leagues. I might have to switch a few teams around to create more balance, although the other three big conferences may not want to take any of the Super West weaklings. Or maybe this is how it will play out, but the big three conferences will work to eliminate the Super West. Always a problem with collge football.

Must admit that this is the most equitable proposal I have seen. I makes sense, keeps regional rivalries, allows for wide open schedules, cuts considerable travel costs for the "minor" sports, creates national interest, makes $$$$$ with TV revenues, facilitates a national championship, and makes all play off games meaningful. Problem is with the current bowl system and those $$$. Easy solution is to have bowls bid on play off games and that should add many $$$$$ to any formula.
