If anything can put this program on the map for future expansion possibilities and attention Nationwide, this game would be the one. Since its on a major holiday on a Sunday with no competition for viewing, even if we should lose by a small margin( heaven forbid) and play a good game in a hostile environment, it puts SMU on a way better plateau. When the Stangs went up to Ohio State in 78 and almost beat the Buckeyes in front of 90,000+ and Mike Ford and Tolbert scared the the begeezus out of them, we raised the awareness and respect nationwide about the Mustangs.
Same situation here. I see from FB that the players are way geared up for this game and with some good coaching from the staff, there is no reason why we can't jump up big time with a win in beautiful Lubbock.

Yeah, with no DP, Tech and TCU's losing streaks to us would still be intact.
