Enough. Here's what needs to happen

Regarding the MWC-anyone want to go back to playing in the WAC? Because that's what the new MWC looks like. I kind of like being able to go to all of the out of town games.
Houston needs to pick up where it left off last year. Tulsa needs to get over its funk, and go 10-2 every year with their only losses to Houston and SMU, and mix in a win over OU or OSU. UTEP needs to be a good 8-4 or 9-3 team depending on whether or not they beat Tulsa and get some out of conference w's. And we need to get where we need to go, being either undefeated or a one or two-loss team depending on how the Houston and TCU games turn out.
Had Houston not lost to UCF and ECU last year, they'd have kept their ranking and been looked at for bigger things this year. SMU, Tulsa, and UTEP need to follow Houston's lead. Get a couple of BCS w's in non-conference, or three, then beat up on each other at the end of the season.
CUSA has a lot more upside than some think. TV contract is a glaring deficiency, yes. That can improve with more competitive teams...Southern Miss with Fedora and Marshall with Holliday's recruits should be able to help that.

Yeah, but JJ doesn't like going to the Liberty Bowl. And our fans think it's too cold.

I agree to a point, but conference USA is made up of a bunch of carpetbaggers that want to go elsewhere, C-USA is still ripe for the picking.
With no expansion possibility for the Big 12 to pick off MWC teams, they may only lose Utah, in fact, I would not be suprised if the PAC10 stays at 11 and regrets their goof of bringing in Colorado to split the pie.
If the MWC decides to go to 12 and we could join up with Houston and get back with the frogs, that is preferable and much more stable in my book. Its worked pretty well for the Froggies, and could work for us.

It the MWC doesn't lose Utah, they will probably stay where they are. They think with the addition of BS they will now qualify for AQ status.

I agree they probably would stand pat, but if Utah did go, then they could add SMU and Houston plus either Fresno, Tulsa, UTEP, or Rice.
I personally think Rice would be a smart move, that would give them full coverage of DFW and Houston as well as give travel partners for basketball when they need to come Dallas and Houston.

You realize that Liberty Bowl pays our conference 1.5 Million about double what the Hawaii Bowl pays.
