I think I'm going to run for public office. SMU is woefully under-represented in government.
Here's UH getting a push to the Big 12, just like Baylor got. Geez.

When the next dog-catcher election in Collin County?

When do the legislators from El Paso push for UTEP's inclusion? What about UNT? UTSA?

Seriously, Texas should have gone to the Pac-10 alone (or with only Oklahoma), let ATM go to the SEC, and both gotten the hell out before the legislature could attach any more teams to either one of them.

No chance. In this election year, any initiative like this will risk offending more of the hard core money politicos than it could ever benefit the cougar commuters. It will fade.

They should be writing to Greg Abbott and asking that he sue the BCS for antitrust violations.

I think a lot of them might be busy getting bids on hotel rooms from neighboring states. It's redistricting time again this session. Wonder if Chip Brown will chime in on that drama?

Maybe Senator Craig James might have a say in future conference re-alignments ?
