As a samurai, I would never panic. However, I propose this question for the benefit of others.
One would assume that if Houston leaves C-USA and we are left behind that our time has run out, particularly if UCF and Memphis depart. Weaker men may panic in such an instance.

DAMNIT, in the past ten years alone we have been in a confernce with Louisiana Tech and Hawaii at the same time, are now in one with Marshall, been 0-12 in football, and have started cutting non-revenue sports. Prior to that we were the only school ever given the death penalty and not allowed to play, abandoned first by over half our conference mates, and later by two more (only Rice has stood next to us and we would leave them in a NY minute), our school faculty has voted not once but twice as to whether or not to stay Div. 1-A, and have been a running joke on the football field and basketball court for a quarter century.
AND YOU ACTUALLY WANT TO KNOW WHEN IT'S TIME TO PANIC?
It might be now for you and anybody else fool enough to ask such a question. Pay attention, man.

It was in reference to the thread stating that we should not panic. Pay attention.

Jack: What's going on? We have a right to know the truth!
Rumack: [to the passengers] All right, I'm going to level with you all. But what's most important now is that you remain calm. There is no reason to panic.
[Rumack's nose grows an inch long]
Rumack: Now, it is true that one of the crew members is ill... slightly ill.
[Rumack's nose continues to grow longer and longer; al la Pinocchio]
Rumack: But the other two pilots... they're just fine. They're at the controls flying the plane... free to pursue a life of religious fulfillment.
