"The Committee on Infractions has delayed the penalty that precludes the University of Southern California from playing a 13th game from the 2010 and 2011 seasons to the 2011 and 2012 seasons," NCAA spokesperson Stacy Osburn said in an e-mail. "In making this decision, the committee noted a number of factors, including that the game has been scheduled for at least five years, will be televised, and many fans have already purchased travel packages to the game."

NCAA allows USC-Hawaii football game to be played

My how the tough old NCAA allows everything to remain the same for the "HAVES"!

Can't say I disagree with the NCAA on this call.

Have any of the USC Jrs or Srs transferred? If a significant number transfer to other programs, would a TV game where Hawaii has a very real chance of putting the hurt on USC be considered a plus for USC?

Nobody abandoning ship as yet and a National TV audience can't hurt recruiting either unless the Hawai'i Run and Shoot puts up significant points!

If so, The Lane_ster may have a mini-revolt not only with fandom but players as well.

allow them to go since its been scheduled for 5 years but allow then to stay in Hawaii the same amount of time as a usual road trip. 36 hours-problem solved.
