Since we begin a new decade this coming season, I thought this was interesting. I define winning record as over .500

2000's
1

1990's
1

1980's
7 (no football in 1987 and 1988)

1970's
3

1960's
2

1950's
4

1940's
4

1930's
6

1920's
8

1910's
3 (of five years played)

At least when we had winning seasons in the 60s, we went bowling.

The new decade doesn't begin until December 31, 2010 @ 12:00 Midnight just as the 21st Century didn't begin until December 31, 2000 @ 12:00 Midnight!

Your statistics, while interesting, will have no effect on the current players since they weren't even a gleam in their great-grandparent's eyes when SMU was founded in 1911!

Actually I went to the Stables and played foosball, but some of the guys went to the lanes for bowling.

I already made the nazi-diamond m connection and got ripped a new ahole by everyone on here for it. Prepare to have your gimmick ridiculed.

We can if we can get pockets as deep as the ones in the 80s. :)

The stylized Diamond M isn't even the most noteworthy (offensive) part of this clown's moniker. Clear references to Auschwitz ("Arbeit Macht Frei", anyone?), in an apparently positive way, are far out of bounds.

Admins need to deal with this asap.

Although it is offensive, why doesn't anybody ever complain about Samurai Stang and his rising sun flag with the Diamond M?

If I'm not mistaken, they are the ones who actually bombed us (or at least our Territory at the time).

I find that one much more offensive than this one personally, considering my grandfather served in the Pacific Theater.

I would vote to ban both Samurai Stang and Pony Macht Frei.

The Rising Sun has been used since 1870, and is still used by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force. The cultural significance of this flag is tremendous. The Nazi flag was only utilized from 1933 until the end of the war and is clearly linked to Nazi activity. The Rising Sun has a history that is far lengthier than a single military conflict.

To ban me is to judge my culture's entire history. If my flag offends you, perhaps you should remember that the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force flies it as one of America's greatest allies. Japanese history did not begin, or end, with World War II.

I don't think Samurai were too involved with WW2, perhaps you should address your comments to TojoStang.

I think our first 25 years were even more impressive with 17 winning seasons and a national championship.
