SMU continues to receive more press for its puzzling admissions decisions. An even-handed article, but the situation remains an embarrassment. Even so, it is important to know what is being said.

There will be a meeting in the next day or so, and this could decide our future. Several things that get through to Turner, his legacy, his Unbridled Fund Drive, money, his reputation, money, ego, and money. Let him know where you stand.

I hope the circle of champions get deeply involved in this fiasco.

Agreed. Anything else you can say about this, Alex? Does anyone have a sense of how Jones really feels about this?

I'm curious if he knew this was a possibility or if he's feeling like he was stabbed in the back. I realize what is out there publicly, but we all know what is said to the world and what is said in private are often two very different things.

I have already e-mailed President Turner and told him the only present solution. After the horrible treatment of admissions " with no time left" for these young men in recruiting, was for SMU to apologize for the way this was handled and to reinstate both Jackson and Hall. At this point it doesn't even matter what admissions thinks these two NCAA approved young men will do here. It only matters that SMU does not hurt these young men's chance to succeed at a quality Div. 1 school. These are both quality young men.....Time has past SMU. Do the right thing and reinstate them both. I bet they both end up succeeding here if they would even stay.

Very little word on Arthur Londy either. Wasn't identified at involuntary workout by PonyPride. Is he not mentioned because he is a non-qualifier who did not pass the Clearinghouse? Or are they still waiting on word? Or he will enroll later? It would be nice for the DMN to tie this up in a nice clear package. I'm not exactly sure what the full story on Ricky Collins is. I'm assuming Thread, Sutton and Thornton are definite non-qualifiers based on past information-they weren't really expected to qualify.

Just curious. It says Jackson moved to Dallas June 16 and started working out and getting acclimated. Who do you suppose pays for all this?
