KillerFrogs take on things

Wonder if Turner checks out killerfrogs while he is wasting time at work.

"Found it funny that SMU just this week denied admission to two of its football signees. Terrible for the kids to find out a month before school starts they don't have anywhere to go.

Shows how SMU works. Care about the reputation of the school first and the people second. Such corporate rich scum that operate there.

Have I said how I hope they go 0 for everything this year?

It sickens me how they deal with people that aren't donors or administration. Ruining 18 year old kids lives and not thinking anything of it as long as the "powers that be" are still collecting a paycheck at the end of the day.

The Mustang motto: protect your own at all cost and to hell with who you have to run over to do so."

"One of the kids was from Brenham. I assure you this does not sit well with Glen West, who is one of the most well-respected coaches in southeast Texas, if not the entire state. If SMU fans aren't liking this, they are going to hate what is being whispered about them at the THSCA Convention in San Antone later this month."

"Rice, Stanford and the Ivys are picky about the academics of all admits, including athletes. But Rice and Stanford will tell a kid early on in the process if there is a problem getting him past their admissions office (the Ivys I don't know about; I'm just assuming).

This is a major screw-up somewhere at SMU, IF the kids weren't told early on that they had specific goals to make, to get in. But a real, serious problem if the kids got a SURPRISE "regrets" letter out of the blue."

Does anyone really care what TCU thinks or does?

And they wonder why it is so easy to wish them ill will!

1) Other schools are going to use this against us
2) They are prolly right about Glen West
3) Samurai Stang can vouch for the below....

故曰:知彼知己,百戰不殆;不知彼而知己,一勝一負;不知彼,不知己,每戰必殆。

So it is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you can win a hundred battles without a single loss.
If you only know yourself, but not your opponent, you may win or may lose.
If you know neither yourself nor your enemy, you will always endanger yourself.

Can't wait for a poster to troll the Mean Green board and post some choice quotes from that site. That should prove insightful.

I hate to put any stock in anything a Frog says (seriously, how bright are they if they went to Frog High?), but there's a hell of a lot of truth to what he says.

From the article stallion posted.....

Nonetheless, Hall’s situation will serve as a warning to future Brenham athletes, West said, including defensive back and current SMU commit Rodney Hubert, who will play his senior year with the Cubs this fall.

“It would be totally unfair for me to not warn any athlete that this is a possibility,” West said. “My first job foremost is for the athletes at Brenham High School, and SMU is aware of that.

Glen West is one of the most diplomatic coaches in Texas. For him to make a statement like that speaks loudly to those who know him.

he is right down the road from Navasota, and comes up here on occasion to hobnob with some of the other area coaches...this is having reverberations.

and the silence from SMU's leadership on this issue is cheerily DEAFENING.

As I recall, it was not long ago that TCU informed an athlete that they would not be honoring his scholarship as he was moving into his dorm. Additionally, that decision was one of coaching, not admissions.

Pretty sure that quote or whatever Ponydawg has on an earlier post is Chinese...not Japanese.
