L U C K Y, a few bounces here and there. Good for them, but they would lose to all the Top 20.

Based on the system, they are right where they should be. But the system is flawed and TCU isn't the number 6 team...A top 20 team at best...But it is the current system.

The U.of Southern Mississippi may have a lot to say about what happens to TCU.

Well, the system sucks.

Indeed look for a BIG W by So. Miss next weekend and all this nonsense about TCU will stop. They whipped UH.

You gotta remember..If TCU happens to make it into the SMU game undefeated, one way or another it will hurt TCU to be playing SMU. The old strength of schedule factor for TCU will take a dip after playing SMU, and that might be enough to help cause TCU to get bumped from the top 6 in the BCS. So in a way, SMU could help keep TCU out of a BCS bowl.

It's not in the bag for TCU, even if they win out. It's gonna be close if they do, and TCU might have to have some other teams in the BCS ahead of them to lose to back them in to the top 6 before it's all said and done.

Actually what's probably going to hurt them more is that our strength of schedule numbers are going down and we're still winless. OSU and TT have flamed out. Baylor was bad to begin with. Boise may yet lose a conference game and the rest of the WAC has done nothing to brag about. As I recall your opponants' strengths of schedule somehow get taken into account in the SOS calculation for a BCS team. For example a team playing Baylor will get some credit because Baylor plays a tougher schedule which impacts Baylor's won/loss record, but a team playing a team that plays cupcakes, gets a negative rating. I could be wrong, but I seem to remember something wierd in that computation. That said, I would still love to see the Frogs enter our game overconfident and riding an undefeated season with eyes toward a big Bowl bid and not be ready to take care of business against us.

That makes sense, East, but I believe we're still sitting at #67 SOS (sagarin). When I last checked about 5 weeks ago, we were at #66. Given all your valid points, I would have thought we'd have taken a hit there, but apparently not? Go figure.

BTW, Frogs sit proudly at #109. 109?! BCS bid?!? 109.

Playing SMU might cost TCU a BCS spot by itself, which I would love. But I'd give anything to return the favor from when their winless squad ruined our season a few years back.

TCU's SOS is 87, and ours is 89. Basically, we've played just as hard a schedule as they have.

if TCU was a bit more gracious about their success they would secure more support from the other lowly non BCS members.
all SMU fans want to payback TCU but if we don't, I guess I'll root for the frogs to be included in the playoffs especailly if they stay loyal with the C-USA.

Isn't that just the thing though. They are flirting with the MWC. Why would anyone, except maybe MWCers root for them under those circumstances? Oh, BTW it is not a playoff.

If TCU craps out and loses one of their last three games, do you think the MWC might suddenly decide not to include them in expansion if they ever thought of doing so at all.
