BYU goes independent leaving the MWC folks looking for exhaust pipes. If that happened would TCU put their hats in their hands and come back to CUSA?

I think BYU could pull that off. They'll draw anywhere from 10 to 20,000 at their away games, depending on where the game is.

If you believe everything Tallgrass posts on the CUSA Forum, I have some swamp land to show you. No, TCU is not coming back to CUSA.

Salt Lake radio station said this was a possibility a week ago and that BYU was evaluating this option.

We could run it through the Ministry of Silly Rumors.

A couple of points as to why BYU could be lured to independence. (1) They already have their own TV network and were ticked off that Mtn. took away some of their games. (2) They could establish a separate deal with any number of willing TV outlets as there are 4 Million Mormans in the US who would watch them on TV. (3) They travel very well. Therefore making it very easy to schedule home and home and home series, home games away (like at Jerry World). (4) They would need an all sports association (MWC, WCC or WAC are already out there). (5) Utah left them behind and now they are in a conference which probably won't get a BCS slot. I could see them pulling it off. And I'm glad to hear that TCU would remain in the MWC even if there is no BYU or Utah.

I love all the TCU geeks who read this board hoping we start talking bad about TCU so they can lay into it....

there is actually a "calling"...or used to be...within the local church/ward/branch where someone would be assigned to go down to the church on gameday and put the satellite feed on tv for the games
