I'm going to predict a score of 4-3 SMU wins.

But then again you have a "dean for america" link on your post so all credibility is lost.

two safeties would be great - we came close to that against Fresno - i was hoping that would be our halftime score so it would go across the wire and have everyone in stadiums across america scratching their head - 5-3 was weird enough actually.

After all SMU is only a 7 point underdog to Rice, maybe we can field goal them into submission. The 7 point difference is due to Kenny Hatfield, and he is enough advantage to win in a game like this. Sure wish we had someone like him too.

I worry about Rice's option, and our ability (or possible lack thereof) to stop it. They hurt us with it last year, and Navy absolutely killed us. A lot of guys are going to have to step up and get really "assignment minded" on defense. Option is so hard to stop when it's done well.

Hey Knucklestang, Maybe we will trick em with the triple-option turned around on them. :pinch:

Better yet, why don't we just put a TE in the backfield and have him pitch the ball? :w00t:

That's part of what I was getting at with my post but Relative-Stang seems to think that going that route once more, in addition to switching to the *yawn* triple option is the answer.

*stares in confusion* um..right

Rice is SMU only chance of getting a win this season *unless TCU screws themselves and gets over confident* I really feel like we can win this game but I actually thought about that againist Baylor, Nevada *when I saw us winning 9-0*, UTEP, and um yea thats bout it this season. Good luck Mustangs!! Youll be gettin my cheers from Waco ISD Staduim. Ill probley go crazy if SMU scores :whistling:
