Not to steal Lifeson's thunder posting these, but the last part really struck me:
DALLAS. FRIDAY. ...A FOUR STAR COMMIT FROM CALI IN JULY...CONFIRMED VALIDITY OF THE DIRECTION AND POSSIBILITIES THAT ARE NOW SMU FOOTBALL...WE ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO WILL DECIDE WHAT LEVEL WE WANT TO COMPETE AT...GIVE JUNE JONES EQUAL FACILITIES. AND SUPPORT AND IT WON'T EVEN BE CLOSE..PONY UP!
Interesting little jab.

Indoor Practice Facility
Tutors
Turner behave
...and that's about it.
Folks, Reinebold is right. Imagine a 10-win season in 2011 the kind of kids we'd see wind up here.
DECIDE TO BE BIGTIME SMU!!!!

Give June An Equal Playing Field – should be the indoor practice facility fundraising campaign slogan.
Just a personal observation, I think it shows a lot of class on Reinebold's part not to dwell on the negatives of this past week. He's simply using an unfortunate situation as a catalyst for change. I hope all of us PonyFans
and especially the administration and trustees will move forward in the same manner.

It should not be lost on ANYONE...even those who say too much has been made in a "sky is falling fashion" that the two central subjects of Reinebold's post
SUPPORT and FACILITIES
..and lack thereof...
are exactly what led to him leaving Hawaii.
We've been warned.
I hope all those who doted on JJ at Nick and Sam's that first weekend in Dallas, early January 2008, take heed.

He is 100 percent right. If we give our coaches and players the facilities and support they need there are VERY few schools that can compete with us. We should be the premiere non-BCS program in the nation every year without question. What TCU has accomplished should be dwarfed by what we can accomplish if we just make it a priority to do what is required. SMU is the sleeping giant of the college football world. JJ is awakening the beast.

What is the status with Hall and the kid from CA? Is it still possible they could be admitted?
