From all indications we dragged Tulsa and Rice into CUSA - over the objections of those Froggies. Time for them to show us some gratitude and lay over and let us win this weekend. Come on Owls - we need one worse then you do.

Is that what our program has come to, asking Rice to let us win one???? Very sad.

It is pretty sad if we have to ask another team to take pity on us. Our mustangs don't need pity from anyone.... they need STRONG POSITIVE SUPPORTS and they will win ( someday soon ) on their own!!!!

not pity - restitution - for saving them thousands if not millions of dollars over the next few years by sticking their lazy butts in CUSA. I'm sure an interception or two would do it - nothing to obvious. And oh yeah - they gotta get a new place to play basketball - that stadium is so high school it make Moody look like Madison Square Garden.

Why do you guys keep on posting this saying and what does it mean? ...."If you ask the band to stop playing PERUNA, you're gonna hear it again... and again...and again...and again."
I am glad that our band played like they did last week even though we were losing. When the band played LOUD and CLEAR..... it helped alittle to over look the performance of our team. If it's not for you guys.... the crowd would be total silence. I hope the band play LOUD and continuously during the last 2 games and especially when our opponent have processions of the ball!

It's always there cuz it's my profile. Also, pretty much every year some drunk idiot will come up and ask us to play something other than "SHE'LL BE COMING ROUND THE MOUNTAIN." At that point, they've pretty much opened themselves up for more Perunas...

This concept goes back as far as the 70s when,in 1979, the Mustang Band played Peruna a mere 701 times in one game. Some of the bandsmen at that time tell of people in the crowd at the Superdome pleading with them to stop playing which, in turn, caused the band to play more. As a result, a record was set that will never be broken...at least in my life time. Until the last 9 years, one could expect to play Peruna about 200-400 times in a game. Now you'll be lucky if you get half that. Oh how times have changed.
