I'm listening to Fox Sports earlier today

And the TCU AD, Eric Hyman I think is his name, was on there. Good discussion about their season and possible BCS. Then they ask him about the possibility that they'll change conferences. He says they're looking and listening, nothing new. But then they ask him if TCU is worried about SMU's threat to never play them again. They all get a big laugh out of it and he say, "Well, I can give you a politically correct answer, but it probably isn't what I'm really thinking." Then they laugh a whole lot more and Hyman eventually backtracks a bit and says he knows its been a frustrating year over at SMU.

Pissed me off, but I'd guess I'd laugh the same if the roles were reversed. I just hope Copeland wouldn't.

Unfortunately the SMU football record has become a joke and other people are laughing at our plight. Our threat to boycott TCU is laughable.

it is not laughable when they sit down to figure out dollars and cents. I am glad Bennett said it - it needed to be said - they go West and they will be cut off in Texas.

how would SMU refusing to play TCU "cut them off" from Texas? They have future games with Baylor already and I'm sure UNT and TTech would be glad to play them. SMU can't afford to get emotional and give up on the closest thing to a true rival we've ever had. Give credit to TCU. For now, they get to gloat. But somehow, I don't think this streak will run anywhere near as long as that 20 game losing streak TCU once endured in this series!

Please...you need to get a grip on reality. If you think SMU not wanting to get beat by us every year cuts us off from Texas, you're sorely mistaken. You're nothing but a drain on our schedule. As for dollars and cents, maybe SMU should find out what it will take to get out a contract for games that runs through the end of the decade. Go ahead and cancel our games. We'll laugh all the way to the bank, and schedule an opponent that will actually be worth making a gameplan for.

Heaven forbid we don't play TCU and get cut off from seeing this on a yearly basis.
