Turner response to my 2nd e-mail

I think he is getting frazzled...
President Turner,
Thanks for your response. I appreciate it, and understand how busy you must be.
I just want to be clear, at Coach Jones introduction in January of 2008, you stated that SMU admissions would be "Nationally Competitive" and "our students can play here or any other place for that matter."
With the recent news that Daryl Jackson will possibly be playing at Texas Tech this year on athletic scholarship, isn't this statement false, or a gross exaggeration of the truth?
I appreciate your hard work for the University, but if we handcuff our revenue sports of equal opportunities to compete, are we not just cheating all the alumni, student-athletes, coaches, and current students of a great opportunity?
A top tier athletic program is a good thing for SMU, and we should take all the steps possible to achieve this.
Thanks again,
NickSMU17
Dear Mr. NickSMU17:
To my knowledge, Texas tech is not among the schools pursuing Daryl Jackson.
Best wishes,
Gerald Turner
