SMU v. Rice: TelevisedSweet Christmas! Is there no end to our pain and suffering? BornRed&Blue called me earlier today to say that she had gotten an email from the Athletic Department stating that the Rice v. SMU game had been changed to 3 p.m. Saturday to accomodate being televised (didn't say which channel/network)...has this been posted already? If so, I apologize for repeating it. :whistling:
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedThanks Brown Hornet. You actually made me laugh out loud with that comment. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedLooks like Channel 52 here in Dallas.
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedI think back at towards the beginning of the season. They did it at the same time they changed the San Jose game.
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedChannel 51 in H-Town
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedThe game is at 3 now? *thinks to himself* Wonder if I can get to the game before its over from Waco with the Lobo game starting at 1 What do you guys think? Think I should try and make it to the game?

Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedDepends on how your Lobos are doing, my friend. It's at least an hour and a half drive from Waco to SMU. Don't push it.
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedThe Rice and San Jose State games were both announced at the beginning of the season as part of the regional package that the WAC aligned itself with. Obviously, they wouldn't be picking the game if they were choosing today.
I would presume its going to translate to even fewer butts in seats. [ 11-13-2003, 09:09 AM: Message edited by: Diehard Pony ]
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedIt probably will be a slightly smaller crowd. I was on the fence as to whether I would go or not, myself. But in case any of you in the Dallas area missed it, tickets are only 5 bucks (and FREE for kids under 13).
Peruuuunaaaaaaaaaa!
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedGee you sure have a lot of opinions for someone who can't decide whether you can fit an SMU game into your busy schedule.

Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedFor non-Texans----Is this a real TV deal or something only for Texas? If so, what network?
Re: SMU v. Rice: TelevisedIt is being carried on Ch 52 in Dallas, which is Ch 901 on DirecTV (in markets outside of Dallas where Ch 52 is being carried...it varies), and on Ch 8409 if you are on the Dish Network (same conditions as DirecTV re markets).
