Condolences - A Mustang Letterman Passes

SMU Mustang Dan Moreman Sr. of Shreveport LA passed away today of cancer. He was formerly one of the founders of Moreman & Moore in Shreveport, having sold the company a number of years ago. He was the head softball coach for Evangel in retirement, and most recently for Byrd High School. Funeral Arrangements are pending.

Dan Sr. played offensive line for the 1966 SWC Co-Champions under Hayden Fry.

His son, Dan Jr., and I roomed together at SMU. Dan Jr. was the best man at my wedding, and is a godfather to my oldest son. Dan Jr. loved his father very much, and he will miss him tremendously.

I certainly remember reading about Moreman. My sympathy to his family and friends. Thanks for the post.

Condolences to the family. Dorry to hear of his passing, I watched him play while he was at SMU.
