Tuberville said he expects Sheffield and Taylor Potts to continue battling for the starting spot up until Tech’s opening game against SMU Sunday, September 5 at 2:30 p.m. at Jones AT&T Stadium.

But only one can play when the season opener against SMU kicks off on September 5 in a nationally televised Sunday game. And he's remained consistent on his stance this spring: His starter won't be temporary.


Make the starter temporary.
