Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementHo hum. All pretty generic stuff since we lost The Spirit Shop. Ya'll should have come to the Gameday Cloth party and picked up something nice.

Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementI'll never be convinced that SMU 'gets' it until they do one thing: sell jerseys. Authentic jerseys. Or at least passable replicas. Go to any sporting event at any stadium or arena in the world, and what do you see. Jerseys. If SMU wants to reach out to people other than the 1500, that's what has to happen. How does the NFL rank merchandise sales? By jersey sales. Pretty simple.
Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementDoes this mean that Football Fanatics will stop selling SMU Baseball shirts?
Oh wait... No. http://www.footballfanatics.com/COLLEGE ... ll_T-shirt RGV- College jerseys are tricky. Can't sell them with a players name on them, so it can only be a replica. Some places will have a place you can send a generic jersey you have purchased and get a name added onto it. If we have a good year again though, I would think they might start getting a few #2 jerseys out there.
Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementI think they could sell a lot of #32's for the Tech game!
Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing Agreement
I agree 100%. Pony Up!
Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementYou cannot sell jerseys with the players' names on them but I see plenty of jerseys with the players' names on them usually worn by the parents. Which I suppose means the owner put the name on it. If I can buy a replica jersey, no one can stop me from putting whatever name I want on it. I agree that we need something to tie the fan into the team.

Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementThey will have jerseys and should be for sale soon.
Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementWho is SID Brad? Tim? I must know now. I want a Jersey!
Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing Agreement
agreed. It is silly we don't have jerseys other than "#11. During the good 'old days, did they sell jerseys with dickerson or james on them? that is not allowed? I could have sworn I saw bball jerseys for sale with sasser and hopkins on it. Last edited by Pony_Fan on Sat Jul 31, 2010 6:27 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementThe '11' on the jerseys at the moment is to celebrate SMU's centennial next year. After 2011, I imagine different numbers will be available.

Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing AgreementTo Pony_Fan: I don't think so. True story: In 81 or 82 I saved my allowance and went to a sporting goods store, bought a blue t-shirt and got '32' put on the front and back and paid per letter to have SMU across the front.
Re: SMU Signs New Merchandise Marketing Agreement
I am having dinner tonight at the Shops at Legacy, although I am sure the store would be closed by then, where is it located at the Shops at Legacy so I can peek in the window? "THE SMU BLVD - - NO PLACE ELSE" (retired)
