Does anyone know how these guys have been looking with their respective NFL teams? What are their prospects of making the opening rosters?

On another note, I can't wait for the start of college football. It almost makes it difficult to concentrate on work. Here's to an exciting 2010 season for the Red and Blue!

Norv Turner always has the third team go totally live for a series on the first day in pads and then a few more times over the next week. Yesterday, the offense gained just two yards on two inside runs before rookie Shawnbrey McNeal turned outside for a big gain on the third snap. It still says here that McNeal is the leader ahead of Marcus Mason for the third RB spot.

One of the few cars to rookie wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, a third-round draft pick from Southern Methodist. Sanders drove a white Mercedes CLS 550, which he called his dream car. He has had it three months.

"I said when I make it that's the car I was going to get and I got the opportunity to get it, so I got it," he said.

ESPN Dallas projecting McCann won't make it on the 53 man roster, saying some second year CB was having a better camp.

The guy they like is Cletis Gordon. He's not a second-year guy — Dallas picked him up last year as a free agent after he spent three seasons with the San Diego Chargers, and resigned him this offseason. At the team mini-camps and OTAs, I was more impressed by another veteran corner, Marquis Floyd, but he got cut.

What might really hurt Bryan is that two free safety candidates who are likely to make the team — Alan Ball and Akwasi Owusu-Ansah — both have played more cornerback than safety in the past, so even though the Cowboys sometimes carried five cornerbacks last year, they could go with four this year, thinking that in an emergency, either Ball or Owusu-Ansah could fill in.

Hope that's not the case, of course.
