Wow wasn't the line +34.5 last time we played Tech in Lubbock? Things have changed, we can win outright

I'm all over -11 considering we will win straight up. Easy money.

NICE! Although with the TCU game at 18.5, I would say that seems about right.....if the o/u is higher for the Tech game. Can't wait for a day when we are actually favored in a game like this!

I think Stallion was going to give me 16 or 17 on this game...I will still take the 11

watch the line rise several points. I haven't even seen a link to this line although I've seen it reported. This is big time play against SMU. Take away Home Field advantage and this means Tech is only about 6-7 points better than SMU. The money will flow big time to Texas Tech if in fact this is a legitimate line. SMU historically since the 70s played poorly in Lubbock and if you've been there you know why. The Tech line is way too low, while I think the TCU line may be a little too high because SMU is at home. Maybe TCU should be favored by 16.

Again you can't compare an SMU team from the 70', 80's or any other year against TT at Lubbock....doesn't compare...who cares what happened in the past..EVERYTHING is different other than the setting.
But good call on the play with the bookies as its closer than it appears ..the betting line will go up and the $$$ will go towards TT before it corrects.
We will show well out there and look forward to rooting them on personally...wish we didn't have some grade casulties, especially AR.

I think the Ponies win this one straight up. It will be fun hearing all the Raider fans' complaints and criticisms aimed at Tuberville.

Actually its a big time play for SMU..in gambling you want to entice the better to take the squad not beign bet on...therefore if you and the general public think this line is to low, its actually a positive about SMU...They are daring you to bet against them...you keep taking tech and drive that line higher, I will sit back and collect your money

Way too early for any line. We haven't even started Aug practice and there are so many variables that can affect a team between now and game day. Example, Marshall dismissing three Fr for alleged felonies committed. Injuries can play into it and some kids may show up not in shape or ready to play. Once we get to about a week out, then the line begins to have some meaning (in the betting world).

I was thinking it was 34 or 35. We've improved tremendously but the new coaching staff in Lubbock has to be a big part of the small spread.

Plus, we historically play up to TCU. Remember, we kept it very close until the 4th qtr. last year with Bo at the helm. I could envision a scenario where we get up on TCU early. The question is, can we hold them off in the 4th quarter when their superior depth begins to tell.
