you can plug in any coach you want and get a full report. Looks like Mack Brown APR score even after recruiting all those "thugs" has outperformed June Jones in 5 out of 6 years. Jones at Hawaii had 3 straight seasons well well well below the minimum 925 APR which is the level which commences timetable on possible sanctions. Be careful about what you wish for after you make June Jones Director of Admissions at SMU

The APR was dreamed up by the likes of DeLoss Dodds to distract attention from UT's dismal graduation rates. Look at the graduation numbers:
SMU Football: 79%
SMU Non-Caucasian: 80%
UT Football: 49% (Bottome 10th in the nation)
UT Non-Caucasian: 37%
June Jones is now coaching at SMU, not Hawaii. Hawaii's academic standards for admission are more in line with a U of H than a school like SMU. You cannot compare what Jones had at Hawaii to what he has at SMU. UT Football and the great Mack Brown? Academic LOSERS!

Stallion,
According to the link you furnished, Coach Jones has met or surpassed the national Div 1A average since 2006. You can't honestly believe that the student-athletes at UT take the same level of courses that our SMU kids have to successfully complete. I would be willing to bet June Jones is not after the job of director of admissions. Heck, you try and base your job on the athletic and academic success of 18 and 19 year old kids and you'll find out is really not that easy. Is it a requirement that you have to find something to bash Coach Jones and his staff about at least once a week?

Maybe UT could start a new league called the NCDAA.
National College Drop Out Athletic Association.

I wonder how many schools have as difficult a course-load as SMU's...I suspect not many.

TCU is well ahead of the average and the course load is about the same every time JJ bounces a kid for breaking a three strike rule it cuts into the average .I think transfers figure into it also.
