1) Anyone know where Ponies are staying in Lubbock

2) Are SMU section seats on sale?

3) Any pre-game festivities being planned for fans making the trip?

4) Never been to Lubbock, so will hotels be a problem Sunday night?

Assume we may get a nice little turn out there --- My sons want to go and could make it a nice Father-Son(s) road trip.

A number of folks on this board are staying at the Overton Hotel. In years past, the team stayed at the Holiday Inn. Hotels fill up fast, especially those worthwhile. In years past Embassy Suites has filled up quick. There is a Hampton on the same side of town as Embassy (southwest..near Brownfield highway).

Mustang Club has had a tent with a couple of kegs and food of some sort the last couple of times.

SMU seats on sale I believe this coming week. We'll get an email or check smumustangs.com.

There is 3 or 4 of us going, I ask if they had any projections of how many SMU fans are going,but could not get a number. I was told the SMU Band is going.

Big Al is flying in and out, the same day!

Sould arrive in Lubbock around 5:30pm on saturday. Check in at Overton. Then proceed to pick fights with Tech fans at nearby bars. Bar Brawl. Go back to hotel for healing and recovery. not quite direct sun...we'll be on the east side of the north endzone. A&M we were staring right at the sun

Looks like four or five of us driving up from Midland.

11 fraternity brothers and I just bought tickets, no idea where we are staying yet though, i'm excited though!

Stay at the Overton. I hear it's like Hotel Za Za combined with the Ritz, only without everything nice that those hotels have.
