PonyFans.com interview with Chris Banjo

At the fist practice of the 2010 campaign, PonyPride reported that despite an ailing hip, Chris Banjo was running extra sprints with his teammates encouraging them to excel despite the grueling heat.

We figured he must either be completely off his rocker due to heat exhaustion, or perhaps among the best examples of humility, good sportsmanship and teamwork we've ever seen. Watch the video and you be the judge. But from our perspective, we totally get why Banjo was again selected to wear Jerry LeVias' #23. Kids like this make me proud to be a Mustang.

Right you are.
I'll go out on a limb and suggest that Banjo will get No. 23 again in his senior season. But whether he does or not — this is a young man of the highest character.

SMU could make a fortune selling No. 23 jerseys. Whether it's for Banjo or Jerry LeVias, PonyFans would buy them. Hell, I might buy two and put BANJO on one and LeVIAS on the other.
